Anniversary Meal Solution
The most difficult clue is probably Clue 3. The information it gives is that the woman wearing the green dress is not with Eric, nor is she named Linda. Also Eric’s wife is not Linda. Added to this the man whose wife was wearing the green dress didn’t spend £10 or £50, Eric didn’t spend £40 or £50, and Linda’s husband didn’t spend £10 or £20.
So, Bob who spent £10 wasn’t married to Linda (clue 3), Alice (clue 5), Sam (2) or Neeta (4), so Naomi. So Naomi didn’t wear green (3) or blue (1). Sam wore a white dress (2) and green was not worn by Linda (3) or Neeta (4), so Alice. Blue wasn’t worn by Neeta (4), so Linda.
Andy isn’t married to Naomi (Bob, above), Sam (1 and 2), Neeta (1 and 4), or Alice (green dress, above), so Linda. Also Eric also isn’t married to Alice (3) or Neeta (3 and 4), so Sam in the white dress.
Naomi’s husband (Bob) spent £10. Eric didn’t spend £10 (5) so Alice’s husband (green dress) didn’t spend £20. And £20 was not spent by Neeta’s husband (4) or Linda’s (3 and above), so Eric spent £20 with Sam.
Linda’s husband didn’t spend £50; thus Alice’s husband didn’t spend £40 (3), so £30. Linda’s husband spent £40 (3). So Andy spent £40, Bob £10 and Eric £20. Carl didn’t spend £30 (6), so £50. By elimination David spent £30 and is married to Alice. Carl is married to Neeta. Neeta isn’t wearing red (6), so black.

After you have entered the clues, you will see that Eric didn’t spend £10 (Bob did), so from clue 3, the man whose wife’s dress was green cannot have spent £20. Also Linda’s husband didn’t spend £50 (Neeta’s did), so from the same clue, the man whose wife’s dress was green cannot have spent £40. So enter:
