I read with interest the CWA quarterly newsletter, issue April-September 1997. Congratulations for a good work......
In page 35 of above-mentioned newsletter (extract from Redd Barna), IOM and Maryknoll are placed under "assistance regarding deportation". Deportation is a forcible removal or exile into another country. Please note that neither IOM nor Maryknoll assist in "deportation". By its Constitution, IOM cannot assist in forced repatriation. IOM's current assistance is on the voluntary return and reintegragion of trafficked women and children in selected countries in Mekong region. Being a member of IDCCC, Maryknoll is helping making the life of destitute detained migrants at IDC more humane. Maryknoll is a strong advocate of children's rights as well of women.
More power.
